How to Sync SmarterMail with Apple Address Book and iCal (OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion) Print

  • 2

Our Windows hosting customers have the ability to synchronize SmarterMail with iCal and Address Book on Macs running OS X Mountain Lion (10.8) using the CalDAV and CardDAV protocols. These protocols can be used to synchronize contacts, calendars, and notes.

NOTE: For ease of configuration, it is important that the appropriate CalDAV and CardDAV SRV records are created for your domain within DNS. Without these records, the Mac is unable to auto-discover the correct server settings. If you're not sure these records have been created, please open a support ticket by e-mailing support@jubjub.com or calling 714-586-8500, option 1.

  • The username is your full e-mail address (e.g. name@mydomain.com).
  • The password is the corresponding password for the e-mail address.
  • The server name is mail1.jubjub.net/WebDAV
6. Click Create.
7. The default account description is the server name, enter a new name in the Description field if you choose.
